Gogoro Rental Q&A
1. Payment Methods:
• Hourly Rental: NT$110 per hour for same-day rentals.
• Daily Rental Plan: NT$680 per day (24 hours). This includes a limit of 60 kilometers; any extra kilometers will be charged at NT$3 per kilometer. If you use a discount plan, extra mileage will not be eligible for further discounts.
2. Identification Documents Required for Rental:
Two original documents are required:
• Heavy motorcycle license (International driving permit acceptable)
• Identification card (Health insurance card, residence permit, or passport)
3. Can I Rent a GOGORO with Only a Car Driver's License?
• To ride the GOGORO 2 Plus, a standard heavy motorcycle license is required. A car driver’s license alone is not sufficient for rental.
4. Additional Charges (Excess Mileage Fees/ Roadside Rescue):
• Excess Mileage Fees for Daily Rental Plan: The 24-hour rental includes a limit of 60 kilometers. Any additional distance will incur a charge of NT$3 per kilometer.
• Roadside Assistance: If you encounter issues such as keys being locked in the rear trunk or a dead battery, a fee will be charged based on the distance of the rescue and the number of personnel required. It is also recommended to travel to a battery swap station on your own if possible.
5. Can I Store a Suitcase in the Front Storage Space of the Rental Electric Scooter?
The front storage space has a width of 23 cm and can accommodate suitcases that are 21 inches or smaller.
6. What is the range of the Gogoro2 vehicle?
• The range varies depending on the battery charge. When fully charged, it can provide approximately 60-100 kilometers of range.
• It is recommended to start looking for a battery swap station and head there when the battery level drops to around 20 kilometers remaining.
7. How are parking fees and fines calculated and paid?
During the rental period, any parking fees and fines must be paid by the customer, as we do not offer a payment service for these. Fines will be sent to the customer’s residential address by our rental partner, ZOCHA, within 1-2 weeks after the violation. If parking fees or fines are not paid by the deadline, overdue fees may apply.
8. How is the mileage calculated with decimal points?
When renting a vehicle, mileage is always rounded up. When returning the vehicle, mileage is always rounded down.
9. Insurance
Our company provides motorcycle and electric scooter rentals that are insured under mandatory motorcycle liability insurance. For any additional insurance needs, it is advisable for you to secure coverage independently. The mandatory motorcycle liability insurance offers the following coverage:
• Compensation for death or disability of a third party: Up to NT$2,000,000 per individual.
• Medical expenses for injury treatment: Up to NT$200,000.
